Seahouses townscape development

So these basic ideas of welcome and shelter have very much come to prominence in my thinking. There then follows a study of the town to identify at what points these two requirements could be met - on the approaches to the town, at the main car park? These two themes aren't just for visitors to Seahouses though; at a smaller scale somebody who lives in Stone Close may have need of shelter or rest when they walk down to the harbour area. So we can add in other communal areas that can provide for these needs.

It is in the detail of these things that they can be really tailored to Seahouses or more generally to this stretch of coast. The worst of the weather perhaps comes in from the east, from off of the sea but this is also the direction in which we want to look. This could be to look at the view, to look for the next weather front, to look for invaders, to just look as an act of taking time out. A structure that combines these needs of prospect and refuge becomes an interesting one and how it is built is another.
