His dexterity and sleight of hand are witness to the fact that he has done
this job for over 20 years and knows how best to approach each task to ensure
that it is carried out too the best of his ability (as he modestly states)
but I am sure that his standards are superior to what is required.
Work in QC is methodically recorded on worksheets, and is subject to checking
and re-checking to ensure thoroughness and accountability at all stages.
QC is an important part of the hospital machine and has various connections
to the wider hospital environment from the occasional quality control
of gas and air provision on site, through to the need to ensure meticulous
hygiene standards during the provision and manufacture of medicines.
