I spent the day in Quality Control (QC) with Pravin Patel generously providing
me with a full explanation of what his job entails. QC is divided into two
main processes - the 'quality control' of raw materials entering, and manufactured
products exiting, the hospital's manufacturing area and pharmacy. Equally important
is the 'quality assurance' aspect that ensures that the environment and equipment
of the department (and sometimes wider hospital) is regularly monitored to
a high level.
