Medicines Information (MI) is unsurprisingly the area that answers all manner
of questions about pharmaceuticals. The walls of the office are lined with back
copies of medical and pharmaceutical journals, research papers, product leaflets,
copies of various pharmacoepia and formularies (some dating back to the 1950s).
Much of the information is now available online but as the manager of the section Dr Paul Adams informed me some of the leaflets just haven't been superseded - they are easy to find, and will be available even if the computer system crashes. It's basically about having as much information available as possible.
