It is a big department with about 80 staff, dealing with over £8million
worth of pharmaceuticals per annum and holding over 7,000 product
lines. This was the first wave of statistics and facts that I was
to come across, that's not to mention the colours and sounds present...and
the robot.
The department has five main sections: clinical pharmacy, manufacturing, medicines information, dispensary and stores. Over the coming weeks I will visit each area to learn more about them and the people who work there in order that what I create will represent the breadth of this often overlooked department.
