Along with an insight into the day to day life of a clinical pharmacist
I learned some interesting and varied facts during my brief time
with Israr, for instance: pharmacists use green pens on the charts,
etc. (although pharmaceutical companies seem to insist on giving
them black or blue ones); 25% of hospital pharmacy budgets are spent
on antibiotics; some drugs contain peanut oil and so pharmacists
have to be aware of peanut intolerance in patients along with the
myriad other facts they need to know.
After lunch I spent time in the Dispensary observing the activities of the staff and taking in the ambience of the environment.
